WHAT IS THIS CONFERENCE ALL ABOUT?
The Faith and Work Conference is a two-day gathering to reflect on the vital and inevitable intersection of our work and faith. Through keynote talks, panels, worship and experiences, we'll explore the wonder and fear of technology.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND THE FAITH & WORK CONFERENCE?
Artists and educators, designers and technicians, homemakers, engineers, managers, entrepreneurs, doctors, and everyone in between are invited to help us celebrate the remarkable reality that work matters.
How are speakers for the Faith & Work Conference Selected?
CFW seeks to engage current cultural issues for the common good with those who share our faith as well as those who do not. We invite speakers who contribute effectively in their areas of expertise. Views expressed do not reflect the views of the Center for Faith & Work or Redeemer Presbyterian Church.
ARE THERE RECOMMENDED ACCOMMODATIONS FOR THE CONFERENCE?
Because the rates and availabilities of NYC hotels fluctuate so dramatically season-to-season, we suggest booking early and using kayak.com, hipmunk.com and tripadvisor.com or a similar travel website to find the best options.
In addition to neighborhoods surrounding the Upper West Side (where the conference program will be held), you may wish to explore hotels in Columbus Circle, Midtown West, Chelsea and the West Village, all areas which have easy access to the subway.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
Full refunds will be issued until March 14, 2018. Refunds of 50% of the registration fee will be offered between March 15-April 3, 2018. After April 4th, no refunds will be issued though we will permit you to arrange a transfer of your registration to another attendee or donate your unused seat before registration closes on April 11, 2018 . To request a cancellation please contact email@example.com.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO ATTEND FOR ONE DAY OF THE CONFERENCE?
Attending the Faith & Work Conference for one day with a decreased registration rate is not possible. The weekend is a cumulative event so we suggest attendees participate fully in the weekend.
WHERE CAN I FIND A DETAILED SCHEDULE?
Detailed schedules will be sent to attendees the week of the conference but here are the timings for the weekend:
-Friday night session, April 13 (7PM-10PM)
-Saturday "Glimpses", April 14 (offered across a variety of timeframes throughout the morning and afternoon): Exciting opportunities throughout the city to participate in diverse experiences centered around work, culture and sabbath. Hosted by lay-leaders in the CFW community, these offerings are designed to point towards glimpses of God's glory in New York City. Glimpse sign-ups will be available for conference participants at a later date. (Depending on the offering, additional costs may apply.)
-Saturday night session, April 14 (7PM-10PM)
How Should I get There?
The closest subway stations are the 1 at 79th street or B,C at 81st Street.
There are also a few parking garages in the area but we don't suggest that you drive.
WHO DO I CONTACT WITH A DIFFERENT QUESTION?
Reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A VOLUNTEER ROLE?
Volunteers play an integral role in bringing cohesion, quality and gospel focus to our conference. In other words, we cannot successfully execute our conference and serve our constituents without the help of volunteers. Our volunteers help set the tone as they set-up the space for conference programs, interface with conference attendees and are present to support the CFW team. We ask that our volunteers be faithfully present, flexible and ready to serve during the conference weekend.
If you are interested in serving the CFW community as a conference volunteer, please email email@example.com.
